WE GOT THE GANG BACK TOGETHER

Hey everyone!

It's been a good week, but we have also had a few setbacks.  We've been meeting with more and more people and have had some awesome experiences with them.  One of the investigators we have is Assad, who is here in Germany as a refugee but has long-term status and studies here, met with us this past Tuesday.  He doesn't speak English really at all and his German is limited, and so we have been teaching very simply so far.  I actually managed to snag an Arabic copy of Preach My Gospel from my second companion, Elder Lewis, and so we have relied on that and relevant General Conference talks in Arabic to teach him.  We had finally gotten the invitation to read and pray about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon across, and this past lesson he communicated to us that he had prayed, and in broken German explained the answer he got.  He had a dream that night that told him it was true, and he saw him and his family in paradise.  He said that he knew Joseph Smith was "correct" and that the Book of Mormon was, too.  We would have extended a baptismal invitation, but we are working on getting an Arabic translator.  If we're able to, we will then extend it as soon as possible.  If not, we will do our best and still extend it as quickly as we can if we feel so prompted.  We unfortunately have not have the opportunity to meet with Kevin since our first lesson because he has been pretty darn busy.  But, we keep trying.  Honestly, that's the biggest setback.  Relatively, it's been a good week.

It's funny to think that a year ago today I was finishing up high school.  I can remember it so clearly as though it was yesterday and I can't help but look fondly upon those times.  Just an interesting thing.

I'm going to keep the letter today somewhat brief as well.  Haha, a member has brought another board game.  It's a zombie one and it's pretty freakin' intense.

I appreciate the support and letters I have gotten and I love you all!
